Throwback to KO'EYENE 2024
As part of the project ‘Ko'eyene’, curated by Denilson Baniwa, Naine Terena, Gustavo Caboco Wapichana and Jamille Pinheiro Dias, unique works were created on the interconnections of nature and time from various Indigenous perspectives. In addition to performances, workshops, films, talks, readings, and concerts, the ‘Ko'eyene’ programme also included twelve installations in the theatre park and in the festival centre at Gartenhaus Haeckel that could be visited all day.
Indigenous artists were also on the stages: In Soliloquio (I woke up and hit my head against the wall), Tiziano Cruz blended the challenges he faces in his life as an Indigenous artist in Argentina with the voices of local Latin American communities. In ‘Matriarchy’, Pauliina Feodoroff explored power relations that have become out of balance and the question of how, considering the exploitation of natural resources, sovereign forms of life can be restored in Sámi society.
We accompanied the 2024 edition of the Festival Theaterformen and made a short film, which you can watch by clicking on the video below.
