The well-known Theaterformen concerts at Gartenhaus Haeckel are back! With the particularity that the stage is located in the heart of our Ko'eyene program: In the festival centre artistically designed by Gustavo Caboco. Whether relaxed from a hammock or directly in the first row - our concerts are for music lovers and anyone who likes unusual sounds. Musicians from the Indigenous communities of the Qom, Shipibo-Konibo, Sámi and Guarani Kaiowá come to us in Braunschweig for unique moments and will each conjure up unforgettable experiences in their own way. One focus is on Indigenous rappers of different generations who raise awareness for Indigenous languages and communities with powerful and creatively activist lyrics. Not to be missed!

Anarandá MC is Kuña Poty Rory, which in Portuguese means ‘Bright, charismatic flower woman and communicator’.  An Indigenous Guarani-Kaiowá woman, she is the original and ancestral voice of Rap, a singer, songwriter, actress and digital influencer who conveys in her music the resistance of Brazil's Indigenous peoples, opening up ways of understanding the cultural richness of the Guaraní and Kaiowá peoples in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, on the border with Paraguay.

In this project Anarandá brings songs with messages full of ancestral experiences that accompany the rhythm and poetry that Indigenous Rap presents to Brazil and the world.  Word spoken, a message eternalised in the oral tradition of the Guarani Kaiowá ancestral culture, with beats, bass and a lot of swing, and with the participation of Kezia Miranda, a multi-instrumentalist who incorporates live sounds from the forests and other environments of the Indigenous historical context, creating a magical sound atmosphere.

Maque is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure. Her music and DJ sets are a ride for pleasure and perreo, for dancing pegadito and transforming rage into sweat, joy and sexiness. Born and raised in Bolivia, she started blending cumbia, reggaeton and traditional bolivian music sounds into her choreographic performances, to then start rapping, DJ-ing and producing music herself. Weaving different genres with a strong bass and dembow, her sound is a hypnotizing pelvic/culo summoning.
