What’s going on with the millennium? It’s already 19 years old. Hard to say, say the sociologists, the present is always the time that’s “especially complex” to analyse, and analysing it therefore always ends in “subcomplex” conclusions. But science has determined one fact indisputably, that this millennium already contains the song of the millennium. It’s “Herzog in a Bus”, and begins with a kicking drum set, which immediately meanders off into forks in the contemporary soundscape, meets a red rabbit in the form of vocals, and takes a little stop where it’s especially strange. The song is by the Berlin trio Soft Grid, and otherwise they make quite instrumental rock.
