It has never happened before: an act from the concert programme is coming back to Theaterformen for the second year in a row. We’re happy to break this rule. Derya Yıldırım made a magical night happen in Braunschweig 2018. Alone on the stage with her instrument, the bag ̆lama, suddenly there were sounds everywhere, the most beautiful sounds, the most divine voices, and no one could say where it all came from. Time for the artist who grew up in Hamburg and lives in Berlin to come back with her group Şimşek. Psychedelic group folk with a dash of rock, but as casual as a pair of corduroy trousers.
