Tigern
A scathing satire about our relationship to foreigners
An average European city. A market square, street cafés, tourists and homeless people. Everything is as it always has been. Until the tigress Mihaela escapes from the zoo and starts to cause agitation among the locals, who react instinctively with rejection and fear. The runaway predator refuses to abide by local customs and the long-time residents find it difficult to find a mental category to fit her into.
Humorous and sharp, Tigern depicts people that are like us – from the bank clerk to the taxi driver. Taking great joy in transformation and telling stories, the ensemble shows us how prejudices and fears about the future define our attitudes and relationships.
