This music reveals the world to us. Illay Chester’s cello has many temperaments and moods; it can mumble darkly and skip playfully as if across a field of flowers. It ploughs through the superficial, hides away, and pops up again with a laugh. The curiosity of her music allows Illay to compose for dance and film and to play with musical colleagues, such as Astrid North (ex-Cultured Pearls). The sound on her new solo album will be revealed for the first time at the concert for Theaterformen 2017.
