The festival centre in the courtyard between the Schauspielhaus and the Künstlerhaus will be the place to be in the city this summer. Every day the theatre crowd will rub shoulders with music fans and anyone else who likes good vibes there. The concert line-up ranges from queer folk by the Hidden Cameras to synthesiser song-writing by Barbara Morgenstern, from deconstructed krautrock (Gut und Irmler) to LGBT operettas (Baby Dee). The headliner in the second week will be Hundreds with their ultra-cool, opulent pop. The Cobra Killer DJ team will carry us late into the night at the Theaterformen party, which is why we’ll need chilled wave pop from Hannover to come down on Sunday evening (The Colder Sea).
