Dear audience,

the name IS the programme: the Festival THEATERFORMEN presents the diversity of contemporary theatre forms. This remains unchanged, and yet everything will be different � after a turbulent history, THEATERFORMEN will take place every year from 2007 onwards. The cities of Hannover and Braunschweig take turns in hosting the festival.
The new festival hosts 14 productions from all continents, all of which will be presented in Germany for the first time. Companies from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, the Check Republic, Germany, France, Russia, South Africa, the United States and Uzbekistan and their stories will lead you into unfamiliar theatrical territory.

My team and I invite you to discover fascinating theatre that constantly reinvents itself and a vivacious festival that engages with the city, with people and stories, questions and visions.

The classics as well as new plays and projects in the urban space are all part of the programme. After the performances we offer films and music from all over the world. Please come and visit us underneath our very own festival cloud next to the Schauspielhaus.
